The City of Gold Coast is excited to welcome the returning Australian Basketball School Championships (ASC) to both the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre and Coomera Indoor Sports Centre in 2023. This event is the pinnacle competition for school basketball in Australia that sees secondary schools from across the country travel and compete in a week-long tournament at the country's premier indoor sporting facilities.
With a course that hugs the jaw dropping Gold Coast Coastline the event offers a run challenge for everyone this December, including 50km Ultra, 25km, 12km, 5km and Kids Dash events. The beautiful southern Gold Coast suburb of Coolangatta awaits you and your run crew! The event will also be hosting the 2023 National 50km Championships, with runners from across the country battling it out for national honours.
In its twelfth year, City of Gold Coast’s Mayor’s Christmas Carols is being staged at the HOTA Outdoor Stage and HOTA Parklands. Hosted by 7 News Gold Coast presenters Amanda Abate and Steve Titmus and 1029 Hot Tomato’s Emily Jade O’Keeffe and Galey, the evening will commence at 6pm and conclude at 8:30pm with a fireworks finale that will undoubtedly light up your night.
